Six weeks after the disappearance of a homeless man, the Police have arrested a suspect who is alleged to have killed him. However, there is no body found yet, according to the Nordhessen Police Presidium.

The 26-year-old man without a fixed residence has been missing since June 7. His relatives reported him missing after they could no longer make contact. The day after his disappearance, passersby found his phone at a bus stop in Kassel. The efforts of the Nordhessian Police were in vain. They then turned to the public with a public appeal for help. The Kassel Criminal Police set up the "AG Maybach" team.

No body found

The police have not found the body of the missing man yet. However, according to the police, "there is a suspicion of a murder and a suspect against a 28-year-old man who was known to the missing man". The suspect had allegedly fled abroad after the disappearance of the homeless man.

He could, however, have been arrested by a special unit in Kassel on the previous Friday, according to the Nordhessen Police Presidium. The suspect was presented to a remand judge over the weekend. The judge ordered pre-trial detention due to the murder allegations against the 28-year-old.
