- Because of the heat, the bathing area opens outdoor bathing areas on rest days
Finally, summer: The bathing land of Hamburg is responding to the expected high temperatures by opening various outdoor pools even on rest days this week. "The locations of Bondenwald, Stadtparksee, and Neugraben will be exceptionally open on their usual rest days," the swimming pool operator announced. Bondenwald will be open on Tuesday from 11 am to 7 pm, Neugraben on Wednesday from 11 am to 7 pm, and Stadtparksee on Wednesday from 12 pm to 8 pm. Bathland is working diligently to also eliminate rest days for further locations.
The previously cool and rainy summer, along with sustained high staffing needs, had forced the Hamburg swimming pool operator to open its outdoor pools late and with restricted hours. The season began hesitantly at the Kaifu bath in mid-May, with other summer outdoor pools following suit at the end of June.
Despite the challenges faced earlier due to a delay in opening and limited hours, the Hamburg swimming pool operator is making up for it by keeping the outdoor pools at Bondenwald, Stadtparksee, and Neugraben open even on their usual rest days. Visitors can enjoy an outdoor swim at Bondenwald on Tuesday from 11 am to 7 pm, Neugraben on Wednesday from 11 am to 7 pm, and Stadtparksee on Wednesday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
