Berlin Eisbären have signed forward Zach Boychuk for another season. The German Ice Hockey League (DEL) champions revealed the news on Thursday, confirming that both sides had reached an agreement to prolong the contract that was due to end.

Sporting director Stéphane Richer praised the 34-year-old, calling him a reliable contributor to the team. "He's goal-oriented, has a good sense of play, and always looks out for his teammates," said Richer, rationalizing why they chose to keep Boychuk around.

Since joining the Berliners in January 2021, Boychuk has played 203 games for the club, scoring 80 goals. His impressive goal-scoring record continued in the recent season, with him being the top scorer for the team during the regular season, netting 23 goals.
