Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden - Birthday program is full of fun

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden celebrates her 47th birthday on this Sunday (14th of July). The Swedish Royal Palace published a new photo of the Heir Apparent on Instagram.

In the photo, she is sitting on a grand chair in Swedish national attire - a white blouse with a collar, a blue waistcoat, a yellow dress, red shoes, and a white veil on her head - holding a bouquet of pink-white flowers, and smiling. According to the caption, the photo was taken earlier this week at the awarding of the "Ölander of the Year" prize.

The Palace also shared: "Today, Your Royal Highness, the Crown Princess, turns 47! The Crown Princess celebrates her birthday traditionally on Öland."

Simple Birthday Program for Victoria and her Family

The traditional Swedish birthday program for the afternoon is as follows:

"At 3:50 pm, the Crown Princess receives the well-wishes of the public in front of Solliden Castle. At 4:00 pm, the Crown Princess and her family travel in a procession through Borgholm. At 5:00 pm, the Crown Princess and the royal family attend the Victoria Concert at Borgholm Castle", it reads in the post.

Additionally, the Crown Princess will present the Victoria Award to Swedish volleyball player Isabelle Haak (25).

The public program is rounded off on this year's "Victoria Day" with the "Victoria Concert", which is broadcast on Swedish television at 8:00 pm.

Family Support

Besides the parental royal couple, Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Carl Philip, Victoria's husband Prince Daniel (50) and their two children, Princess Estelle (12) and Prince Oscar (8), will be present to support her. In recent years, Victoria's brother, Prince Carl Philip (45), along with his wife Princess Sofia (39), and her sister, Princess Madeleine (42), have also been seen at the celebrations.

Lastly, Madeleine returned from Florida with her husband Christopher "Chris" O'Neill (50) and their children, Princess Leonore (10), Prince Nicolas (9), and Princess Adrienne (6) in mid-June. They could make their first public appearance on this "Victoria Day" - Chris O'Neill is scheduled in the official calendar of the Royal House for the engagement.

  1. Crown Princess Victoria's brother, Prince Carl Philip, and his wife Princess Sofia, as well as Victoria's sister, Princess Madeleine, have often joined Victoria in celebrating her birthdays in recent years.
  2. Princess Léonore, Victoria's niece, might make her first public appearance alongside her family during this year's "Victoria Day" celebrations.
  3. The Swedish Royal Palace shared a new photo of Crown Princess Victoria on Instagram, showcasing her in traditional Swedish attire and holding a bouquet of flowers, taken at the awarding of the "Ölander of the Year" prize in Borgholm, which is located on the island of Öland in the Baltic Sea.
  4. In the traditional Swedish birthday program for Victoria and her family, they begin with making an appearance in front of Solliden Castle at 3:50 pm, followed by a procession through Borgholm at 4:00 pm, and continuing with the Victoria Concert at 5:00 pm, all of which takes place on Öland.
