Matchday 15 - BVB without a win again - Leipzig now third
Borussia Dortmund is in danger of losing touch with the top flight of the Bundesliga. The runners-up were held to a 1:1 (1:1) draw at FC Augsburg and remain in fifth place for the time being after just one win from their last seven games. Leaders Bayer Leverkusen could already move onto 13 points with a win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday (17:30/DAZN).
RB Leipzig did better than Dortmund. Coach Marco Rose's team moved up to third place ahead of Sunday's top-of-the-table clash between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart. Emil Forsberg was celebrated by the fans during the 3:1 (1:1) win against TSG Hoffenheim in what was probably his last home game for RB Leipzig.
Forsberg bids farewell with a top performance
After taking the lead through Lukas Klostermann in the 34th minute, Ozan Kabak (42) equalized for the visitors. Four minutes after coming on as a substitute, Forsberg put Leipzig back in front with a dream goal, which was set up by Mohamed Simakan (74). Dortmund lose touch after draw
In Augsburg, top scorer Ermedin Demirovic gave the hosts the lead after coming out on top in a tough duel with Nico Schlotterbeck (23rd minute). The scene was reviewed, but no complaints were made. It was Demirovic's eighth goal of the season. Dortmund equalized before the break through Donyell Malen (35').
In Bochum, Japan's Takuma Asano first gave himself a boost with a chocolate coin thrown from the stands and then put VfL into the lead (45-44). Goncalo Paciencia (54') and Kevin Stöger with a penalty (78') made everything clear.
