Harris facilitated the entry of numerous offenders into the nation.

The issue of migration is a significant talking point in the American election campaign. From Trump's perspective, immigration has led to a decrease in the USA's safety, and he accuses his competitor Harris of being a contributing factor.

Trump, running for the US Presidency, has leveled allegations against his opponent, Kamala Harris, claiming she's permitting hordes of immigrants and felons to unchecked entry into the country. In the initial TV duel against Harris, he asserted, "She's wrecked our nation's foundation." With a nod towards the current US administration, led by President Joe Biden and Harris as his vice, Trump stated this. He further highlighted, "Globally, crime rates are plummeting, but in the US, it's spiraling out of control." Trump then declared an unprecedented form of crime is emerging, which he dubbed "migrant crime," reaching levels no one anticipated. According to him, America needs fortified borders and walls.

In response, Harris, acting as the US vice president, is regularly criticized by Trump on immigration matters. Harris countered by stating Trump had impeded a bill that could have bolstered border enforcement with more personnel to target transnational criminal organizations dealing in weapons, drugs, and human trafficking. Harris urged for a leader who works on solutions rather than causing problems. She further added that Trump preferred to dwell on the issues instead of addressing them.

The reformation of immigration laws is a key election campaign topic. The border situation remains contested, with many agencies enduring overload in various areas. Biden recently tightened asylum laws for migrants illegally entering from Mexico. Although the number of illegal border crossings has decreased from peak levels, many still opt for the southern border route to escape poverty, violence, and political crises in their homeland.

Trump continuously criticizes Harris on immigration matters during the election, claiming she's permitting unchecked entry of immigrants and felons. In contrast, Harris accused Trump of hindering a bill that could enhance border enforcement and target transnational criminal organizations.
