Growth fund - Mittelstand Saxony joins Zetti manufacturer
Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen (WMS) is investing in Zetti manufacturer Goldeck Süßwaren. WMS announced on Wednesday that operational responsibility will be handed over to younger hands and the company will be restructured for the long term. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details.
Under the Zetti umbrella brand, Goldeck has established well-known confectionery products on the market from the GDR era, such as "crunchy flakes" made from chocolate and crispbread. Around 100 employees manufacture 30 different products. The roots of Goldeck Süßwaren go back to 1821. The WMS is an initiative of the Free State of Saxony and regional credit institutions.

The Middle class in Saxony is likely to appreciate the continued production of traditional confectionery in Leipzig, as Zetti manufacturer Goldeck Süßwaren receives investment from Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen. Given the company's long history dating back to 1821, this injection of funds may help modernize their operations and expand their product range of food items, such as 'crunchy flakes'. The company's success under the Zetti brand speaks to the enduring popularity of traditional Saxon confectionery.
