At the Police University College in Aschersleben, Germany, around ninety firearms have gone missing, as per a report from Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. The investigation is based on an internal report sent by the college's rector, Thorsten Führing, to the state criminal police (LKA). The said report is believed to be from last week. Among the stolen weapons are pistols, revolvers, and other types of firearms.

To locate the stolen weapons, the university is reportedly in touch with former staff who were in charge of storing firearms. The stolen firearms are believed to have been borrowed from the LKA's comparison weapons collection. This collection is used for both training and demonstration purposes with law enforcement personnel.
Apparently, an audit conducted by the Saxony-Anhalt Audit Office revealed "major discrepancies" in the weapon inventory of the teaching materials collection at the Police University College during an in-person inspection. Several missing items were supposed to be in the university's possession.
