A helicopter and Water Police, Fire Department and DSS (herculean rescue service) searched for a man who fell into the Rhine from a sports boat, apparently killed by a propeller.

A 53-year-old passenger fell into the Rhine south of Cologne from a motorboat and died. It is believed that the man was fatally injured by the boat's propeller, police and prosecutors in Duisburg said about the accident that occurred on Monday evening. Despite an immediate search, the body has not been found yet.

A police boat, a rescue helicopter, a fireboat from the fire department, and two rescue boats from the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) were involved in the operation. There were eight other people on the motorboat who were taken in as witnesses. The Water Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office in Duisburg are investigating the incident.

The Rhine, a prominent waterway, is where the fatal accident took place, involving a motorboat. The motorboat, carrying eight individuals as witnesses, was operational on the Rhine.
