Fire - Roof truss of an apartment building in flames

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, a multi-family house in the Segeberg circle went up in flames. The fire spread from a carport to the roof truss of the house, as a fire department spokesperson stated. All inhabitants had already left the building when the fire department arrived. No one was injured.

The house is not habitable at the moment, the inhabitants went to stay with friends and relatives. Whether the building has to be demolished is not clear yet, the fire department spokesperson said. The fire department, which was joined by 120 personnel, fought the fire until late at night to extinguish any remaining hotspots.

The multi-family house located in the Segeberg district, specifically in Schleswig-Holstein, was affected by the fire. Despite the efforts of the fire department, the fire originated from a carport and eventually reached the roof truss of the house. Fortunately, the local fire department was able to prevent the spread of the fire to neighboring properties in the area.
