The rescue squad is worried that a 22-year-old might have drowned. He went out with a boat from the DLRG rescue group in Offingen, close to the Baden-Württemberg border on Saturday night. The vessel, with five rescue workers on board, flipped over in strong currents. Four crew members aged from 24 to 70 made it safely to land.

A few hours later, helpers from the voluntary fire department, DLRG rescue group, water police, Bundeswehr, and police began looking for the young man. If he had indeed passed away, he would be the fifth casualty reported in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg due to the flooding.

Rescue workers discovered two bodies in an empty cellar in Schorndorf, situated east of Stuttgart, on Monday. The authorities reported that they were a 58-year-old homeowner and his 84-year-old mother. As per eyewitness accounts, both were engaged on Sunday evening in pumping out the water that had flowed into the cellar.

A 43-year-old woman lost her life in the cellar of a flooded house in Schrobenhausen, Upper Bavaria, during the weekend. On Sunday morning, the body of a firefighter was found in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. He had died while undertaking a rescue mission.
