Witness of Conflict and Social Media Sensation on Instagram

The longest-lived female individual in Germany has passed away.

Germany's oldest resident, a 114-year-old woman named Charlotte, bid her final goodbye in Baden-Württemberg. Her grandson confirmed the sad news, sharing that she peacefully passed away at her senior living facility in Kirchheim unter Teck, located south of Stuttgart, on a Tuesday evening.

Born on December 3, 1909, in Breslau, Charlotte lived an impressive 17 years before Queen Elizabeth II graced the throne and 5 years before World War I commenced. She remained humble about her remarkable age, stating, "I didn't pick this. I can't change it." In her eyes, anyone had the potential to make it to the next day, without requiring any extraordinary efforts. Furthermore, death held no fear for her, as she felt it was an inevitable event beyond her control.

Unrelated to Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann, Charlotte chose to live alone for most of her life, but recently welcomed companionship. Her claim to fame was her lively Instagram account, boasting 14,000 followers. She enjoyed sharing wholesome moments of her life, such as shopping trips, Christmas celebrations, and outings, with her followers. Her final Instagram post featured her savoring a glass of red wine with the caption, "What else could you ask for? A delightful glass of wine, scrumptious food, and beloved family members by your side."

The following are the main objectives of Charlotte's social media programme: to connect with her followers, share her experiences, and spread positivity. Despite her advanced age, Charlotte actively participated in the programme, regularly updating her Instagram account with her daily activities.

Regardless of her achievements and lengthy life, the primary objective of the programme for Charlotte was to maintain connections with her loved ones and public audience, fostering a sense of community and companionship.
