Criminalidad - Un hombre en Berlín secuestró y dejó herido

The Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office has indicted a 31-year-old Vietnamese man and a 35-year-old German. The charges include extortion, kidnapping, and grievous bodily harm, according to a spokesperson.
The accused are alleged to have posed as Vietnamese policemen to a man on the Alexanderplatz on January 11th and demanded that he accompany them to their car. The 31-year-old Vietnamese man reportedly had doubts just before getting into the vehicle. When he refused, the trio is said to have become violent.
Initially, they demanded 8,000 Euro from the man due to alleged gambling debts, which they later increased to 9,000 Euro. The man paid 5,200 Euro, with his partner supposed to bring the remaining amount. When she arrived at the arranged meeting place, the kidnapped man attempted to escape. One of the suspects is said to have prevented this by inflicting two stab wounds in his abdomen. According to the indictment, the partner brought an additional 3,000 Euro, and the man was eventually released, injured. The suspects were later arrested and are in remand custody.
